Kia has today unveiled a new all-electric version of Niro at the 5th International Electric Vehicle Expo in Jeju, Korea. Due to receive its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018, the sporty and versatile Niro EV combines driving enjoyment with eye-catching design and functional utility.

Designed at Kia’s design centres in California, USA and Namyang, Korea, the Niro EV incorporates the practicality and appeal of a compact SUV, in a sleek, aerodynamic body with subtly sculptured surfaces.
Taking inspiration from the Niro EV Concept unveiled at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the Niro EV features an exclusive radiator grille, futuristic air intake and arrowhead-shaped LED daytime running lights. With a ‘Clean and High-tech’ design concept, the slim character line and tapered rear windows emphasize the car’s sleek profile, while allowing greater room for the Niro EV’s muscular wheel arches.

The Niro EV is powered by Kia’s next-generation electric vehicle powertrain, using new production technologies developed specifically for Kia EVs. Equipped with a high-capacity 64 kWh lithium-polymer battery pack, the Niro EV will be able to drive over 450 km* on a single charge with zero emissions, or more than 300 km* on an optional 39.2 kWh battery system.
The Niro EV demonstrates the considerable steps Kia has made over recent years to deliver comfortable, fun-to-drive vehicles that lead the way in zero emissions motoring.

The Niro EV will go on sale in Korea during the second half of 2018 and introduced to other markets in due course.

NBA All-Star LeBron James in New Kia K900 Ad Campaign

Earlier this month, Kia announced LeBron James as its K900 Luxury Ambassador.  To celebrate the start of the NBA season and Kia NBA Tip-Off 2014, Kia also will debut a new television spot tonight called “Valet” featuring James, who joins a growing roster of Kia endorsers, which includes Los Angeles Clippers All-Star forward Blake Griffin.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Kia Motors America, few days ago announced a new multiyear extension of their marketing partnership, which began in 2008.  In addition to continuing to serve as the league’s Official Automotive Partner, Kia also now is recognized as the Official Luxury Vehicle of the NBA, following the recent introduction of the brand’s modern and elegant K900 rear-drive luxury sedan.

Kia will continue as the Official Automotive Partner of NBA All-Star and the title partner of Kia NBA Tip-Off, the Kia NBA Performance Awards, and the Kia NBA All-Star MVP award. Kia also will expand its relationship to serve as an Official Automotive Partner of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and NBA Development League (NBA D-League).

The world’s most popular sport will take center stage during the World Cup and the star power of supermodel Adriana Lima – for a dual-language marketing campaign titled “For One Month, Let’s All be Fútbol Fans.” For One Month, Let’s All be Fútbol Fans,” the 2015 Optima midsize sedan and Sorento CUV deliver Lima to a football field, a man cave and a local watering hole to whip non-soccer fans and gets them excited for the month-long World Cup. The three 30-second ads were created by David & Goliath.

The initiative, which includes TV, print, digital, social, point-of-sale and radio components as well as Kia serving as the presenting sponsor of pre-match shows on ABC and ESPN, marks the second time the brand and Lima have teamed up following her memorable role in 2012’s “Drive the Dream” Super Bowl commercial.

At the 2014 NAIAS at Detroit Kia will show the latest iteration of the signature grille resting mere inches from the ground.  The surround glows white and is flanked by vertical LED headlamps. Front-brake cooling vents funnel air around custom 20-inch wheels. A carbon fiber front splitter mounted below the bumper provides added downforce for the car and keeps the GT4 Stinger ’s front tires firmly planted to the tarmac. Under the hood there will be turbocharged 2.0-liter that pumps 315 horsepower to the rear wheels. More to come.

Kia Introduces K900 First-Ever Rear-Drive Sedan

The highly anticipated  K900, modern and elegant, opens a new era for Kia at 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The all-new 2015 K900 is poised to challenge the full-size rear-drive luxury sedan segment with an extensive list of standard equipment, world-class accommodations and stunning design that will redefine consumer perception and expectations of the Kia brand.

Offered with a V6 or a V8 engine, the K900’s list of standard equipment will feature first-class accommodations and advanced technology.  The range-topping V8 equipped with the VIP Package will add additional luxury amenities including reclining outboard rear seats.  The K900 Premium V6 will launch with an available Luxury Package and Technology Package.  The all-new K900 is expected to go on sale during the first quarter of 2014, and pricing will be announced closer to launch.
