Given the unforgiving terrain Ranger Raptor has been developed for, it needed an aggressive set of tyres to keep it stable on and off-road. All-terrain BF Goodrich 285/70 R17 tyres have been specially developed for the Ranger Raptor. Holding a strong presence, each tyre measures 838mm in diameter and 285mm in width. The design offers a tough sidewall to take on all environments with confidence, a super grippy tread to extend owners’ adventure time on and off-road and an aggressive off-road tread pattern which provides grip in wet, mud, sand and snow conditions.

Ranger Raptor also comes with unique underbody protection to deflect off-road obstacles. The new bash plate is made from 2.3mm thick high-strength steel and meets enhanced capabilities for strength inline with Ford Performance requirements. The silver finished guard allows clearance to the dual front recovery hooks. Working together with the existing engine and transfer case undershields, the three elements provide protection to components such as the radiator, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD), front cross-member, engine sump and front differential.

A STAR IS REBORN: 50TH ANNIVERSARY FORD MUSTANG BULLITT

Ford Mustang Bullit 01

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of iconic movie “Bullitt” and its fan-favorite San Francisco car chase, Ford introduces the new cool and powerful 2019 Mustang Bullitt.

Third-generation member of the McQueen family, Molly, starred in a special movie of her own introducing the new third-generation Bullitt at the North American International Auto Show. In the film, Molly races a new Mustang Bullitt through a parking structure battling a Dodge Charger for the final free space.

Helping it win that particular spot was the Bullitt’s upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that will deliver at least 475 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, pushing the new Bullitt to a top speed of 163 mph – an 8 mph increase versus the latest Mustang GT.

As a special-edition model due out this summer – the all-new Mustang Bullitt is equipped with a manual transmission, and the gear shifter features a white cue ball shift knob as a nod to the original. The vehicle packages all Mustang GT Premium and Performance Package content into a vehicle that maintains the original Bullitt’s understated persona.

An active valve performance exhaust system is standard with new Black NitroPlate exhaust tips, and retuned to give the car a signature burble, as well as new Open Air Induction System and Shelby GT350 intake manifold with 87mm throttle bodies and powertrain control module calibration for optimal performance.

Other standard equipment includes a heated leather steering wheel and a 12-inch all-digital LCD instrument cluster, identical in function to the cluster introduced on 2018 Mustang, but with a unique Bullitt welcome screen that starts in green with an image of the car rather than the pony.

The Ford GT Drives the Iconic Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway

Ford GT 01

The Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway – the Land of the Midnight Sun – consists of a string of eight bridges that connects the towns of Kårvåg and Vevang in the most dramatic way possible. Not for the fainthearted, especially in adverse weather, there is even one stretch where the road seems to disappear completely.

The location for the latest in the video series Europe’s Greatest Driving Roads is seen through the windscreen of a Ford GT supercar that is later shown setting a fastest lap time at the world’s most northerly racetrack, just 30 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle.

Ford GT 02

“The Atlantic Ocean Road has to be driven to be believed. Only the most hardened cynic could fail to be unmoved by a journey across scenery of such unimaginable beauty,” said internationally renowned motoring journalist Steve Sutcliffe, who fronts each travelogue of road trip destinations where the history, the view and the culture are as important as the driving thrills. “I had to break our rating system on this occasion, and score the road 11/10 for scenery. What else can you do on a route where you can actually see whales when you are driving along?”

The Norwegian trip is the seventh video in the Europe’s Greatest Driving Roads series, achieving a score of 53/60 on factors including thrills, accessibility and hospitality. The new episode also features the talents of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing driver and Le Mans veteran Stefan Mücke who set a new lap record at the Arctic Circle Raceway in the 655 PS Ford GT that has a top speed of 347 km/h (216 mph).
