Citroen has revealed a daring car concept with a colourful and strong identity in a world premiere. Citroën’s interpretation of a compact SUV, C-Aircross Concept marks a new stage for Citroen in the deployment of its product strategy. With its internationally-oriented body style, the brand confirms its offensive on the SUV segment, started with Aircross Concept. Its unique identity is based on the state of mind of the New C3, adapted to a new segment:

C-Aircross Concept marks its difference into the world of SUVs with its totally strong, original and fresh attitude. It has a unique morphology and a right balance between protection and fluidity of lines. Its modern body style comprises generous shaped parts which contrast with strong graphic features and splashes of colour. Its also suggests an impression of space on board, where colours and materials creates a both technical and relaxed atmosphere in a very stripped back style.

The opposing opening doors of the C-Aircross Concept open onto a spacious cabin, an invitation to embark on adventures with complete peace of mind. The concept offers space, wide quilteffect seats, and plenty of light, owing to its panoramic sunroof. Inside the car the foundations of the Citroën Advanced Comfort® programme can be seen, and technology serves to improve ease of use, for example: the colour head-up display an aesthetic blade in continuity of the instrument cluster, single spoke steering wheel with intuitive commands, rear view camera vision and wireless induction charging for smartphones.

With its world premiere set for the Geneva Auto Show on 7 March, C-Aircross Concept heralds Citroën’s global offensive on the compact SUV segment.

The SpaceTourer’s modular, EMP2-based platform provides more cabin space, boot volume and manoeuvrability. Available in 3 lengths, including a market-first 4.60 m model for up to 9 people*, it is the ideal everyday companion, in town and country alike. Car park access is easy with a height of just 1.90 m. The eminently functional newcomer features hands-free sliding side doors, as well as an opening rear window and a host of storage compartments.

Technologies that make life easier are including head-up vision and a 3D connected navigation system, CITROËN Connect Nav, along with safety technologies such as: Coffee Break Alert, which suggests taking a break after two hours of uninterrupted driving, Driver Attention Alert, for detecting lapses in driver concentration, and Collision Risk Alert. Equipped with these technologies and features, the SpaceTourer scored the maximum five-star rating in EuroNCAP tests. The New Compact C3-XR Crossover for Chinese Market

Citroen continues the strategy of internationalisation as a brand that is ever more global. At the heart of this strategy is the Chinese market, which for the brand now represents more than one sale in four and for which CITROEN unveils at C_42 on the Champs Elysées, the new C3-XR, a compact SUV projecting robustness, elegance and dynamism.

China represents the biggest market for Citroen with more than one in four of the brand’s sales. There as well, CITROEN is progressing faster than the market with sales up 19% to the end of August 2014, compared to 12% for the market. The growth is supported by a rapidly expanding network of 470 dealers, which came first in the JD Power 2014 survey on service quality

To extend its cover of this market that CITROEN unveils today the C3-XR, its new model to be launched in China at the end of the year. This new offer 2 embodies a resolutely modern approach to the SUV, based on CITROEN’s values: strong design, remarkable comfort inherited from CITROEN know-how, and technology choices aimed at the well-being of users.

Very close to the concept car presented at Beijing in April 2014, the C3-XR is a pure product of the CITROEN centre of style, which applied all of its know-how and creativity in the conception of this SUV, with its immediately identifiable design projecting robustness, elegance and dynamism.

The CITROEN C3-XR also benefits from the latest innovations, making for easier use through its technological equipment (keyless entry and starting, reversing camera, grip control…) and its connectivity via the Citroën telematic services.

Citroen C3-XR goes on sale in December and will be produced at Wuhan, available from launch with the THP 160 S&S engine coupled with the latest generation EAT6 automatic gearbox.

Citroën DS3 & DS3 Cabrio Ines de la Fressange Paris Concepts

The DS styling Centre and Ines de La Fressange Paris have joined forces to develop two unique and attractive concepts, one on the DS3, the other on the DS3 CABRIO. In these concepts, DS meets a free spirit from the fashion world, whose sharp eye can be seen in the choice of graphics, materials and colours. Both concepts feature strong styling, designed for a chic Parisian, elegant, bold, modern and independent. The vehicles will be premiered from tomorrow at DS WORLD PARIS. The DS3 hatch will then be displayed on the DS stand at the Paris Motor Show from 4 October.

The cooperation between DS 3 and Ines de la Fressange Paris is first and foremost a natural meeting between an iconic fashion house, which contributed to the development of these two concepts, and an iconic car. Both share the same taste for elegance, sophistication and modern design.

The two unique cars differ first and foremost for their bodywork colours, creating an alliance of chic and sobre hues.  The DS3 is draped in satin-finish Ink Blue, forming a perfect match for the glossy Onyx Black roof. In contrast, the DS3 CABRIO is adorned in glossy Perla Nera Black, showcasing a mat Infinite Blue roof with an Infinite Blue soft top. The new colour adopted for the soft top creates new potential for personalising the DS3 CABRIO. Both versions are fitted with 17’’Aphrodite diamond-cut wheels that add a dynamic touch to the styling.

Designed to showcase the DS3 New Light Signature, both versions feature exclusive “Ines Red” door mirror housings. DS3 gains a range of personalisation  features including an “Aéropostale” adhesive signature in red, white and blue, across the back of the car, an enamel-effect emblem with the words “Ines de la Fressange Paris” on the central pillar, as well as wheel hubs and DS logo surround in Ines Red.  The use of the three colours, blue, white and red clearly express the Parisian roots of both brands and their ties with French elegance and luxury.

DS3 & DS3 CABRIO Ines de la Fressange Paris Concept share the same interior, featuring the three emblematic colours of the union in a carefully matched layout. The emphasis is on personalisation and customisation. The seats are upholstered in Granite Blue grained leather with white topstitching. A leather of exceptional quality that is also found on the headrests, with the same “Aéropostale” signature as on the bodywork. The dashboard is also easily identifiable in Ines Red with an enamel-style emblem. As a final touch of sophistication, protective mats with edging inspired by the “Aéropostale” signature further enhance passenger comfort.

The two concepts, DS3 & DS3 CABRIO, are strongly styled and illustrate perfectly the Parisian chic and the personalisation potential of the DS 3.

DS, as an innovative brand is introducing a new concept with DIVINE DS: ‘Hypertypage’. This completely new concept extends far beyond the idea of personalisation by bringing customers a choice of interior trim worthy of a haute couture fashion house, with premium materials rarely seen in the automotive industry. Based on a dashboard and door scrolls that can be changed in just 15 minutes, a choice of three interior ambiences are available. Three “dress codes” that can be swapped to suit the ambience, embodying three radically different personalities

DIVINE DS is a compact 4-door vehicle, 4.21m long and 1.98m wide. It is a car of powerful, charismatic styling, with taut lines and a low driving position (1.35m high), sitting squarely on its 20” wheels. Strong, sensual curves contrast with graphic features sculpted in chrome. DIVINE DS features metal grey bodywork with a subtle shimmer that showcases its lines. A body style that captivates at first glance, with bold styling cues that reflect the image of DS.

The cabin of DIVINE DS is a spectacular display of contrasts, between the contours and relief of the driver’s cockpit and the flowing lines of the passenger seat. Another major styling highlight is the roof. The roof of DIVINE DS is truly unique with a design resembling the scales of a reptile. ‘Hypertypage’ is a bold concept that gives life to DIVINE DS. This exclusive feature underlines the ambition of DS to bring customers vehicles that fully reflect their personality. Swarovski crystals adorn the exterior lines of DIVINE DS and decorate the headlights for an alluring finish. Inside the car, these legendary crystals adorn the door panels and dashboard in sophisticated touches.

DIVINE DS is equipped with the turbocharged direct-injection 1.6 THP petrol engine developing 270 bhp. A perfect fit with its dynamic character. With maximum output of 199 kW at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 330 Nm between 1,900 rpm and 5,500 rpm, this is an engine of outstanding performance. Meeting high standards in performance does not mean turning a blind eye to environmental concerns. This engine is compliant with Euro6 standards and emits just 145g/km de CO2.
